Bradford flower Club is pleased to announce that it will be holding its next club meeting on Monday the 21st March 2022 at its new venue in Allerton commencing at 7.30. Our speaker for the evening is Peter Mathers with his title Poetry Prose and Peonies. Members and Guest are very welcome.

Following the closure of Haworth Road Methodist Church BFC will now be meeting at Allerton Congregational Church 345 Allerton Rd, Allerton, Bradford BD15 7HB. (entrance to car park via Garforth Street). It has have been very fortunate to find this venue with a large car park, on a bus route and with a large hall and stage. All the things needed for a Flower Club to run its Meetings and demonstrations.

We welcome members new and old to join us as the BFC starts a new chapter in it’s history. 2022 will be the 65th year the Club has been in existence. The first meeting was held in Church House on North Parade in 1957, and was attended by a young man, George Smith, who gave a demonstration and soon joined Bradford Flower Club. George Smith, MBE has been recognised for his services to flower arranging, and is also a NAFAS Special Associate of Honour. Since then the Club has had held many Meetings, Workshops and Flower Festivals all held under different Chairs and venues.

Throughout all the years BFC has been a very friendly club open to everyone, new ideas and ways of working. Please pop along to any of our monthly club meetings, (for which there is a guest fee if you are not a member of the Club)  and don’t be afraid to even join us on the Committee. Once all details have been confirmed an updated calendar will be available on the website.

We hope you enjoy using the website and share with our love of flowers, foliage and friends
