December Meeting 2025
Following our autumn break, our next meeting will be on Monday 8th December starting at 7:30pm, at Allerton Congregational Church, 345 Allerton Road, BD15 7HB. Guests will be very welcome. We will be having a Christmas wreath/arrangement making workshop accompanied by our usual fuddle.
The theme this year builds on last year’s wreath and table decoration. Whereas last year all your accessories were wired, ribboned and just had to be placed into your arrangement. This year you will have the chance to ‘wire your own’. Don’t worry, help will be on hand for anyone who hasn’t done it before.
Once again greenery will be provided and in your goodie bag will be a wreath ring (or floral foam and dish if you want to make a table arrangement) cones, limes, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, ribbon along with the floral wires. (all included in the £10 fee). All you need to bring is your scissors/ secateurs.
There will be examples of arrangements on the front table for you to have a look at and follow or you are more than welcome to produce your own display. If you want to add candles, flowers, baubles or anything else to your arrangement, please feel free to bring these with you and use them in your display. I am sure they will give other members some different ideas as we have a look round the room at the end of the evening.
If you have access to any Christmassy greenery we would be very grateful if you could bring some for yourself and for others to share. The more different varieties we have the nicer thewreaths look.
The mulled wine and the fuddle will also be again in full flow so a plate of something to eat and to share will be most welcome.
The important thing is that you come along and enjoy the evening. Friends and family are very welcome to join you. If you could use the email on the website to say if you are able to attend and if bringing any guests how many, that would greatly help in the preparation for the evening.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the 8th December. Schedules for next year will also be available for you to take home along with your renewal form for 2026.
